What do i need to become a Paramedic?

I think you'll find you have to go to uni now to become a paramedic. No longer can you work your way up. I have also heard they are phasing out technicians and everyone on emergency ambulance is trained paramedic. ~I would have loved to train but can't do it financially now but you go for it.
